About the Project
This project will take advantage of a novel technology for rapid, high throughput and cheap analysis of multiple metabolite and lipids in serum, towards developing a cancer diagnostic method for the five most frequent cancers in Israel: breast, lung, colon, prostate, and bladder cancer. Through a collaboration between researchers and clinicians at the Technion, Rambam Hospital, the Israeli Midgam BioBank, and Clalit Health Services, thousands of samples from healthy controls and cancer patients will be assessed, towards two clinical applications: stratification of patients prior to biopsy, and population-level cancer screening.
