An essential component of the program is that organizations participating in IPMP research projects must be committed to providing open and equitable access to their medical and clinical data, and to rapidly depositing the data from their projects in accessible databases, in accordance with IPMP terms based on best practice globally.
This will include information obtained within the program (such as genomic and somatic sequences) and data collected but not published (such as genomic sequences).
The confidentiality of study participants will be ensured.
The collaborative data sharing between researchers in universities, hospitals and healthcare organizations will help accelerate the rate of discoveries and the potential for implementing new healthcare protocols. It will also significantly advance Israeli research capabilities.
